Updated and works like a charm. Disregard and close. Issue of non-updating Zotero remains. I reported this a while back and solution was to come back to it once it happens again. So here we go :P

on the Zotero page it is GeoTrust Inc. Checked again in Avast and HTTPS scanning is not ticked as active.

As stated: Auto Update enabled. SSL scanning deactivated and still there was no auto-update.
