I likewise haven't been able to solve my problem. I have Safari 9.0.3 and OS 10.11.3 and Zotero will not show up as an extension. No Zotero icon in the toolbar. Any ideas about how to fix this?
-
Correct, not listed under preferences/extension.

I'm having the same problem. The Zotero Connector wasn't working on my toolbar so I uninstalled Zotero standalone and reinstalled. The reinstallation went fine, but I do not have the extension now. I have an iMac and OS X El Capitan, 10.11.3.

Seems like the answer was to another question in another thread. My question is whether it is possible, in Standalone, to grab a citation automatically and directly from a web page in whatever browser one is using. There's an icon to do this in…

Oh neat--thanks!

Well, I went through the steps a couple of more times... each time Zotero highlighted the offending cites, I said yes and found them again in my library and replaced them. On about the third time through, everything started working again. All …

Here's the actual error message: Zotero Integration Error Zotero experienced an error updating your document. TypeError: this.registry.citationreg.citationByld[c[0]] is unidentified.

Well, since I posted, I tried it again. Zotero focused on a different cite and told me it didn't exist in my library and do I want to replace it. I said yes. I found the item in my library (which I hadn't deleted) and clicked on it. Then Zotero foun…

K, thanks again. Have a good evening.

Thanks again. I already have 5 GB of storage and my files are backed up on the server as it turns out. Just in case, how would I transfer all this (my Zotero library complete with files, etc.) back to my computer if need be?
-
Thanks much. I do have a backup, but backups have been known to fail. Is there any documentation on how to use File synch from the Zotero server? I haven't seen anything like that, but maybe I'm missing something? Also, sorry, whats a…

Thank you, thank you. I was able to install 3.5b1 this time and updated to Firefox 6.0 so all is right with the world. Egg on my face. A case of operator error, I'm sure. Much appreciated.

Sure. The message was in a popup box that pointed to the green puzzle piece to the left of the URL and said: Zotero OpenOffice Integration could not be installed because it is not compatible with Firefox 5.0.1 I can email you a screen shot…

Sorry I meant to ask whether I should get Firefox 6, disable the current plug-in in OO, and redownload 3.5b2. Thanks again.
-
Thanks Dan. I have 3.5a2, so I guess I need to get the right plug-in. I tried the "check for updates" and I got back a message saying there were none. I downloaded the 3.5b1 plug-in but it wouldn't install. I got a message saying it was incompatible…

Thanks so much. Actually as I look at it only one of the other two files is not in zotero/storage. Here it is: .../Library/Caches/Firefox/Profiles/vsy610uy.default/Cache/D/77/SE490d01 Under description it says: HTML/Dldr.Agent.21755 …

I appreciate your taking the time to explain. I had visions of reinstalling everything, and (heaven forbid) having to move to a Microsoft product on my now, Microsoft-free MAC.
-
Thanks so much. I think you're right. The plug-in doesn't seem to want to work in a .doc format. I was unable to change to bookmarks from reference marks-- the plug-in wouldn't let me do that. I guess I have to do all my documents in .odt format and…

Sorry. I only posted here because I wasn't getting any comments in the other category.

Thanks so much. Actually I'm trying to produce an annotated bibliography. How do you get the extra material to show up in a bibliography? Is it a matter of choosing the right style?
