I said something similar in other threads ( https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/91219/zotero-ios-webdav-request#latest ) and ( https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/90026/webdav-support-in-zotero-for-ios#latest ). Yet, I'll say it agan: Please reco…

If you closely followed @adamsmith 's recommendation and step 9 didn't help move to step 10. Pay particular attention to the text between your citation #30 and citation #32. Something in your document there (or elsewhere) is "remembering" the cite f…

Given the high cost of an iPad (I know because I'm typing this on one) and the relative low cost of Zotero storage [I know, some WebDAV is 'free' but is it really(?)]; given that the purchase of Zotero storage is a primary mechanism for supporting t…

I'm curious. If you are willing to make a meaningful donation to a WebDav development project, why not use that money to buy Zotero storage and support Zotero development?

Somewhat off-topic but concerning AnyStyle: Originally posted here but feels better as a new question: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/91211/anystyle-source-document-of-poor-quality?new=1

Ask your thesis master if s/he has a citation style that is based on some established standard. If so Zotero likely can provide that exact style for the references in your thesis. Is there a printed guideline that provides guidance for how your cita…

MacWord and large documents is terribly slow even when Zotero isn't used. Word for Windows with Zotero works great on a Mac that has Boot Camp or an emulator such as Parallels. Word for Windows on an Intel Mac is quite fast (even with a large Zotero…

What file format did you export?

Big Sur is the current OS. Perhaps, Monterey scheduled for Fall 2021?

Please say more about what you want or envision -- especially about "recent" publications. Do you want a report that appears something like: Aardvark, Aaron Article title. journal name, nn(nn): 2021 Another title. journal name, nn(nn): 2019 …

I had lots of "" characters at the beginning of the files along with what appeared to be old-style block-graphics characters and card symbols. There were numerous extraneous line feed characters (at least, that is what my BBEdit program displayed).…

For the past hour I've had intermittent problems with nbib files that were badly created at PubMed. A few moments later then requesting the same file it is fine. I opened two bad files in a text editor and at the beginning there were several gibberi…

Continuing with preposterous arguments... There were demands that all demonym adjectives begin with a lower case character because it is an adjective not a noun. The safety of italian roadways not Italian roadways. Improvements in the spanish traum…

@diegodlh A few years ago my SafetyLit project tested using crowd sourced metadata gathering. We did this because we found differences with several publishers print (or PDF) metadata and the metadata provided on their websites or that provided to …

MacWord is itself slow. It is faster to use Word for Windows on a Mac via a Windows emulation than the native MacWord. This is a Microsoft issue not an Apple or Zotero problem.

@adamsmith @AbeJellinek There are at least two discrete metadata problems with T&F Group journals. The author name problem and the language problem. (I wasn't suggesting that Zotero was parsing the author name depending upon the language.) For…

@dorys sabando. Please, if you find someone who will listen... After you have success with author names ask them to address the language field lie. For the few non-English language journals, if there is an abstract in English, the language metadata…

Just insert a Zotero field to cite the citing resource. This should be rare. Find, read, and directly cite the original. See below: I think that citing a source that cites an unread (by you) resource should be _very_ rare and done only in situation…

Did you try restarting your Mac as recommended in the support link you provided? This happened to me when I first used my new MacMini I found the support page and Rosetta was available after a restart.

Over the past 10 to 12 years I've received 2 or 3 requests each year to include/assign UDC to articles and journal-titles in my online literature database. Each time the requests have come from Eastern European nations or from India. Early on, I di…

Until an expert appears who can give a better answer...I'm not at a computer to be able to test this: If the phrase is not being automatically inserted by the style [I fear that it is] and you yourself typed the phrase, there might be an easier way…

"50,000 files" Do you mean that you have 50,000 records in your Zotero library or is the 50,000 number including records, notes, all pdf files, snapshots, etc.? Importing a 50,000 record RIS file into EndNote will require time and computer resourc…

Did this toggle resolve your problem? I use a Mac but I don't use Word.

Please explain further. What OS? What word processing program? Did the menues move along with the document? Did the text and menu "turn sideways" or did the page move from portrait to landscape (with the text [and menu] visible upright)? Did the ent…

I recommend asking for help at your university library's reference help desk. If they don't want to help you with Zotero, politely seek assistance with using the MS Word tools the university provides. Surely, many students have had the same problems…

Allowing us to see the file is essential. A very brief snippet of the few lines at the beginning of the file if pasted to a forum message might help. Pastebin or a DropBox public file is best. Does your university describe this style in a document t…

Yes. That should explain it. However, when importing nbib I'm always asked if I want to import to a new collection and I accept the default "yes". I had forgotten that 1) I had last used a feed library but hadn't returned to my primary library; and …

For the book you want to cite, the Muse metadata that is available to Zotero is inadequate unless you download the MARC record and import that record into Zotero. Even if you use the MARC record data that only contains book information without any c…

You will need to provide a URL that doesn't include the Athens proxy or provide enough information about the book and chapter that one can find it by searching Project Muse. There are several things that could lead to your problem. Some problems may…
