Very simple question

I'm sorry in advance for raising such a simple question, but it appears that my research has approached a standstill due to my lack of specific knowledge. I have gathered articles, and now would like to access the database to make some statistics of them (it would be too long and complicated to analyse them within the user interface of Zotero). So the question: how can I access the database?

You might be interested in http://seasr.org/documentation/zotero/ (depending on the type of statistics you want to run).

Thanks, I already have installed this, but it's just not what I'm looking for. Or at least I don't know how to add a new flow to the analysis.

Well, for example (because this is not the only task), I'm trying to count items in various folders.

You can have a look at the tool I wrote here: http://github.com/singingfish/zotero-browser.

You'll need to know some javascript and write some code to collect useful stats though.It only works on Firefox 3.5 as far as I know right now.

And if you know SQL, you can of course just open the database in an SQLite client and run some queries.
