Thanks and sorry, I try different styles, but it doesn't work on the citations of notes. Maybe my operating way is not right. I change the style following the actions below. Edit > Preferences > Cite > Style Manager > Choose one style > OK
I know this post is five years old, I just wanted to share that I'd love a feature to change the citation style in notes.
I often use them to collect relevant literature on a certain topic, and it would be very helpful for my memory to be able to see also the title, not only author and year when I access them at a later point in time.
Jumping in here to agree with Tuchtfeld. I like using the notes feature to refer to multiple texts and capture beginning of notes/writing. It would be great to modify the citation style, or really, just be able to show the title of a work, particularly when you're citing many works by the same author.
Ditto. I’m often not using notes as temporary stand-ins for papers I’m writing; the notes stand alone as information to refer back to, and reading it and seeing `(Long, 1971)` instead of `“Aisthesis, Prolepsis and Linguistic Theory in Epicurus,” Long 1971` means I will have to click on the citation to see what in the world I was referring to, as I will have long forgotten who Long was and what he wrote in 1971. If there are several of these in one document, clicking back and forth will get old fast. So a way to right-click on the citation to choose the citation style (or a way to set a different style in the citation dialog) would be very much appreciated.
If you are looking for a footnote style you can pick one of the following:
