Problem

Zotero becomes unresponsive after approximately 5-30 minutes.

Sometimes a PDF is open when the issue occurs, but the same problem also occurs when no PDF is open.

The window becomes white/greyed out and Windows reports that Zotero is not responding.

Troubleshooting performed

- Updated to the latest Zotero version
- Disabled all plugins
- Reproduced with a completely fresh profile
- Reproduced with multiple PDFs
- Reproduced even without PDFs open
- WebDAV manual sync works normally
- Set layers.acceleration.disabled=true
- This appeared to improve the situation temporarily
- However the problem still occurs
