Deleting Period on footnotes

Hey there everyone. I am working on an assignment and have been using Zotero for citations. One question, how do I remove the period at the end of the citation and replace it with a comma? For some reason, I can't do this on Zotero. Maybe because it's coded. Anyhow, any counsel will help. Thank you

You'd need to modify the citation style.

I have the same issue, was there ever a solution to this? I used to modify the citation style and create a whole new one.

if there is a way to get rid of the period and add a comma instead, can you let me know how it is done?

I am using Chicago Manual of Style 18th edition (notes and bibliography).
