password error

Zotero kept telling me my username and password are invalid. I reset my password, but the next day, when I try to log in to sync my data, it shows again that the password and username are invalid. It is my second time resetting password. Anyone knows why this happens?

    Upgrade to the latest version of Zotero. For security reasons, older versions are no longer be able to log in for syncing, except immediately after a successful password reset.
  • Desktop at my uni does not authorize me to update zotero. Can I still access my sources or generate citations from online? Would that still work?

    It's just what I say above, and what you've seen. You can set up syncing in old versions only after a recent password reset.

    But I'm not sure why you're hitting this repeatedly unless you're unlinking and setting up syncing every day? This would normally be a one-time thing. Ongoing syncing from older versions is unaffected.
