Feature request for Ecosia Browser Connector

Li-ca-sa · January 3, 2026

Please develop this connector, it would be very helpful. Thank you!

I agree! I use ecosia and would love to have a zotero connector!

I also agree it is needed as it forces some users to change browser just for this

Ecosia is a Chromium-based browser. You can just install the normal Chrome extension by going here: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/zotero-connector/ekhagklcjbdpajgpjgmbionohlpdbjgc

I just tested this and it works just fine.

I agree as well! I use ecosia too and would LOVE to have Zotero as an extension to the Ecosia browser:)

Please make an Ecosia connector via Safari and other web browsers a priority--not just via Chrome.

I have my default browser set to Ecosia, now I have to change that, just because there is no Zotero extension for it. It is very frustrating! Please develop an extension for Ecosia

Unlikely there will be a dedicated connector, but I don't understand the problem w installing the Chrome connector if that works?
