rename from parent metadata missing

Hi!
I have 'attached a link to a file' and want to rename that file using 'rename from parent metadata'. However, the button is not there. Is this intended? if so, is it possible to get what i want? I have the feeling that I used to be ablle to do that before.

Use the button next to Filename to rename.

Note that you can enable automatic renaming for linked files in the settings.

I have noticed this too, but when I check the file in the folder, it is renamed.
