Can't synchronize,ID:1602265747

I can't synchronize, keeps reporting defects.Even though i tried to install it after uninstalling it
  • [JavaScript Error: "Component returned failure code: 0x804b000a (NS_ERROR_MALFORMED_URI) [nsIIOService.newURI]" {file: "chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/storage/webdav.js" line: 205}]
Are there non-alphanumeric characters in your WebDAV URL, username, or password?

See this thread for how you can experiment to see what characters are causing this error, and please return to this thread and let us know the results:

    https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/419796/#Comment_419796
  • After that I got following information in the result block "https://myacount@qq.com:mypassword@dav.jianguoyun.com/dav/zotero/" in which '@' in my acount transformed to %40 .I don't know what's wrong. So I followed it to get Debug ID :D1296526243
  • You're saying if you put the exact same WebDAV URL, username, and password in that code sample, you see that URL in the result block, but if you enter those values in the preferences and click Verify Server, you get the error above?
  • yeah,it's still the same problem
  • That shouldn't really be possible — the code snippet in the linked thread is the code that's being run and that's triggering the error.

In the URL it shows you in the result block, is anything else in the URL besides the @ and . in the username being transformed into codes like %40?

Does your username or password contain Chinese characters?
  • I swear there are no other Chinese characters, only my password with @,which has been changed to 40%
  • Is @ also the difference between chinese and english?
  • sorry ,"@ " transformed to %40
  • Does this still happen after restarting Zotero and reentering the URL, username, and password?

Can you reproduce this in the Zotero beta?
  • well,When I downloaded the beta ,it was still the same problem.just like"https://myacount%40qq.com:mypassword@dav.jianguoyun.com/dav/zotero/".Dose that mean it's running fine?
  • What do you mean by "the same problem"? There's nothing wrong with that URL. Are you saying you're still getting an error when you click Verify Server?
  • Yes,there is no error in the URL,but there there is still an error when I click Verify Server. I'd like to register a new account with Google Mail to see what's wrong.

Can you provide a Debug ID from Zotero 7 for Verify Server?

If you can reproduce this with Zotero 7, we can add some debugging information to the next Zotero 7 beta to try to figure out what's happening. People in China have been hitting this for a long time (not sure if it's with particular Chinese WebDAV servers or what), but almost no one has been willing to work with us to debug it, so if you're willing to do so, we'd appreciate it.
  • D289812927.ok,fine.Hope you can work it out in Zotero 7.
