Keyboard Shortcuts on Windows 10

Several keyboard navigation shortcuts seem to be inoperative on Windows 10 (22H2 19045.2673). These include

- Ctrl+Shift+T to show/hide the tag selector
- Ctrl+Shift+S (or whatever is specified in preferences) to initiate a quick search

But other non-navigation shortcuts (e.g., Ctrl+Shift+C to copy an item citation) seem to work just fine.

This issue occurs in 6.0.22, to which I just updated, but I started noticing it before that update. It continues even when all addons (e.g., Zutilo) are disabled.

Would anyone have any suggestions about how to remedy this issue?

Thank you so much!
  • - Ctrl+Shift+T to show/hide the tag selector
This Zotero shortcut has been removed. In Zotero 6, Ctrl+Shift+T is used for reopening closed tabs. We could perhaps add a customizable Zutilo shortcut for toggling the tag selector, but I'm not sure it is really needed. Currently, you can toggle the tag selector with "Alt+V -> press L -> press T". I'm still getting the visual bug described in this discussion, though:

BTW, did you try using Zutilo's shortcut "Collections pane: show / hide"? This toggles the full left pane, which seems more useful to me. (It's a bit slow now, which could be related to Zotero's switch to an HTML tree.) Also, note that the collections tree has a find-as-you-type function.
    - Ctrl+Shift+S (or whatever is specified in preferences) to initiate a quick search
You can use Ctrl+F. There's also Ctrl+Shift+F for opening the Advanced Search window, which isn't listed here yet:

  • Got it, @qqbb. Thanks so much. Both of those tips are very helpful!
