Along similar lines, a navigation "history" window would be very useful. I often find that a particular reference sets me off on a line of investigation that takes me from one reference to another to another etc in my various collections. And then eventually wanting to find my way back to the reference I started with. Or go back to a reference somewhere along the path I followed. That's difficult without a record of where I've been.

I agree. While zotero remembers the recently opened tabs, this is not synced between devices, and also the iOS version does not (yet?) support tabs. One way to increase functionality even beyond "recently read" would be to allow saving & sycing tab sessions, like browsers do nowadays. So all papers for this project open -> session1, for that one -> session 2, etc.

Yup, just want to echo what others have commented here. Having a 'recently viewed' or 'history' function would be an amazing addition for Zotero.

Agree - the 'recently added' and 'recently read' functions would be a great improvement. Many people who want to switch from Mendeley in this period are used to those features and would be more easily convinced if they were available here as well.

Plus one, this is a crucial feature.

However as a workaround you can already add the column Date Modified and see what document you annotated or added last.

Adding annotations doesn't change the modified field. There is also accessed field but that doesn't update either. It seems that to get modified field to change value, you must change one of info or tags parameters. Accessed field doesn't seem to update at all.
