tags are not added when shifting from Mendeley Desktop

Given that Mendeley Desktop will no longer be supported by Elsevier fom 1st September on, I shifted my personal library to Zotero. Unfortunately, I do not retrieve the tags (author keywords) associated to each reference in my Mendeley Desktop. They have been lost in the process of conversion after uploading the RIS file exported from Mendeley. How to fix the issue?

    Don't use RIS or any Mendeley export; that's always going to be lossy (& especially so because Mendeley's exports aren't great to start with).

    Thank you very much for your rapid reply. However, I saw that in the meanwhile all author keywords appeared as tags in my Zotero references. I think it takes a lot of time before they are integrated in Zotero. Thus I think that export through a RIS file was not too bad a solution, even if not the best one.
