No "host" category for video/radio broadcasts

It's puzzling there is no "host" category for the names of hosts (or anchors) of radio and video broadcasts. There is for just about everything else - director, producer, guest, etc. Can one be created?

    The larger question is, "How do the key style guides demand that the host be represented in a citation?".

    At my university it was decided (for items where the identification of the host was important) that the host's name should be appended to the program name (title):
    "Talk of the Nation with Ray Suarez" or "Talk of the Nation with Juan Williams".

    CSL has recently added "host" so you can use the Extra syntax described here: https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/item_types_and_fields#citing_fields_from_extra
    i.e. host: Glass || Ira

    It's very likely that Zotero will add host to appropriate item types (podcast, radio and TV podcast I'd assume) and once they do, they'll automatically migrate the information entered into Extra like that.

    Edit: Note, though, that there is currently no citation style that actually uses the host variable, so as of now it's of limited use.

    Can you make the host variable also available for the "Audio Recording" (song) item type? I need the place/platform value where the audio recording is published. It is different from "publisher" and "publisher-place" value. And item-type should be "Audio Recording", not radio or podcast.

    Could you give an example? I don't think 'host' makes sense for what you're describing. (FWIW, the syntax above will also work for audio recordings, but I don't think it's a good idea to use it there)

    For example I have an Audio Recording. It's publishing on platform Soundcloud.

    Published Place/Platform: Soundcloud
    Publisher Place: Charlottesville, VA
    Url: soundcloud.com/ottoman-history-podcast/lindner

    The record has a URL, but the URL is not considered sufficient and the platform is also requested to be specified. Currently, I input this info on the "Format" section as "mp3, Soundcloud" and print out the bibliography. I thought a meaningful name could be host as a variable. Maybe it could have been variable "Place", but there is information about it as "Charlottesville, VA".

    I'm trying to create a csl style for the center I work at. I can use many variables in the extra field, such as "annote", "status", "section", .. etc. -of course those accepted by https://validator.citationstyles.org/- but I want the variable name to be consistent with what it will do.. "host" seemed very suitable to me in this respect.

    I preferred the Audio Recording (song) type instead of the Podcast type because it has more information input fields.
    I also noticed that the "host" variable can also be used on the "song" type. So, while I was trying to use it as <text variable="host"/>, this variable was actually valid as <names variable="host">. In this format, I can use it in the extra field. Exactly the infrastructure I wanted was provided.
