Split the same PDF into two horizotal panes

Is it possible to view a PDF in two horizontal panes in the same window, like what Foxit PDF Reader and Acrobat Pro do? This is very useful because many papers have figures and legends on separate pages, and reading such papers requires back and forth scrolling. A split view of PDF allows the figure panels and corresponding legends to be brought into a single view, greatly facilitate reading.

Looks like a good idea. It will be helpful when you can find information about in-text citation at the list of literature.

We're not currently planning to support this, but you can open a PDF in a separate window by holding down Shift when double-clicking on it in the items list. That allows you to view the same PDF in a tab and a window at the same time.

Is there a way to hide the toolbar on the top of the separate window?
