Automatic update was performed on September 2, 2021, and when restarting the program, it informs me that an error has occurred, "please restart it". When I restart it, it keeps showing me the same error. I can see all the folders, but not the content of them. I think it cannot load the contents in the new update. I uninstalled Zotero, installed it again with the latest version available, but it keeps sending me the same error message.

That's an error from the Scite plugin, not from Zotero.

Hi abravo -- sorry you ran into that issue. In this related discussion (see below) someone mentioned that deleting their prefs.js file from their Zotero profile directory worked.

If you are able, could you:

- Close Zotero
- Go to your zotero profile directory (https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/profile_directory)
- Move the prefs.js file to your desktop or anywhere else (do NOT delete)
- Re-open zotero and see if it works (With our plugin enabled)
- If it does, could you please email that prefs.js to me at ashish@scite.ai?

As an update, this is now confirmed to be working in the latest plugin version v1.11.1 so please upgrade (and sorry for causing it in the first place!)
