Upgrade StorageMoving Library with attachments in custom directory from Windows to MacOS

Apologies if this has been treated before recently, but I couldn't find it.
I'm currently moving all my files from a Windows 10 laptop to a new MacBook. Zotero has its attachments in a custom Dropbox folder, using Zotfile. The question is how to move everything over with the least amount of hassle and damage possible. Should I just move everything back using Zotfile and then copy the the whole directory over - and if so, how do I go about it?
