Moving Library with attachments in custom directory from Windows to MacOS

Hi all,

Apologies if this has been treated before recently, but I couldn't find it.

I'm currently moving all my files from a Windows 10 laptop to a new MacBook. Zotero has its attachments in a custom Dropbox folder, using Zotfile. The question is how to move everything over with the least amount of hassle and damage possible. Should I just move everything back using Zotfile and then copy the the whole directory over - and if so, how do I go about it?

1) Make sure you've correctly set up a Linked Attachment Base Directory, so that all your attachments are stored using relative paths.

2) Transfer your data.

3) Set the Linked Attachment Base Directory to the correct Dropbox location on the new computer.

That seems to have done the trick, thanks. Now renaming and moving the attachments back to Dropbox, but ZotFile is taking its time, to put it mildly.

Following the above you wouldn't have had to do any renaming/re-moving, though?
