I suddenly got an error with Zotero, and have restarted several times without any change. When I open Zotero Desktop everything is blank and I just see a screen that says "An error has occurred. Please restart Zotero".
My citations are luckily still on my library online. I have also tried re-installing Zotero.

It seems to relate to 'citekeys'.
First the citekeys were gone and it was not possible to export my library.
Then I tried to reset the translator options (preferences > advanced) and it start giving me the "an error has occurred. Please restart Zotero"
