Extract highlighted text??

Does Zotero extract highlighted text from a PDF or other document and then link the text to the file it came from?

The ZotFile plugin does that.

This works. Thank you. The error message about an item being top-level is solved by making the file subordinate to some other top level item - i.e. making it not top-level.

Yes, you always want to be working with proper Zotero items, not just bare attachment file items.
