Does Zotero extract highlighted text from a PDF or other document and then link the text to the file it came from?

louarnoldThis works. Thank you. The error message about an item being top-level is solved by making the file subordinate to some other top level item - i.e. making it not top-level.

bwiernikYes, you always want to be working with proper Zotero items, not just bare attachment file items.
