Cannot put bibliography and set document preferences in my Word

Hi,
I'm having some problems with Zotero, my computer is macOS Catalina (10.15.7(19H2)), and my Word version is 16.42(20101102).

I can make citations, but when I press the Document Preferences or Bibliography button, It gives me a hint: "Zotero experienced an error updating your document. Would you like to view troubleshooting instructions?"

I've tried every tip on offer, but to no avail.

It also asks for a document excerpt, assuming you don't get an error in a new document. If you get this in a new document as well, we'd need to know that.

Yes, the problems also occur in a new Word document.

What are the full steps to reproduce the problem in a new document? We'd need to see an excerpt of the document where the Add/Edit Bibliography button fails.

I think I have articulated that I can insert citations but when it comes to bibliography, It shows nothing but a troubleshooting.

If this does not work in a new document, what are the steps to reproduce the issue in a new document? Which citation style are you using?
