Report-ID: 401721266

Dear all,
I receive the attached error message on my machine. The library can be synchronized, but the PDF-files can not be downloaded.

Everything works fine on my Mac and on a Windows10 machine in the Azure-cloud. I think the problem is related to our company IT-infrastructure/security policy. I also talked to the guys there and they recommended me to change the following settings:

network.automatic-ntlm-auth.trusted-uris
network.negotiate-auth.trusted-uris
security.enterprise_roots.enabled
network.proxy.autoconfig_url
network.proxy.http
network.proxy.http_por

Unfortunately it did not fix the problem. According to the IT-guy, the traffic is not blocked. Am I missing further things, that have to be changed in the setup?

Thank you for taking the time to look into my problem.

Best wishes,
Patrick

Zotero-File-Modification-Time header not set in file request
If you're getting this, a proxy server or security software is interfering with your file sync requests. We set security.enterprise_roots.enabled to true by default, which causes Zotero to use any custom certificate authority your computer is configured to use, as is necessary when secure requests are being proxied/monitored. (Otherwise you'd get a certificate error, because you're not connecting directly to remote servers.)

If you provide a Debug ID (different from a Report ID) for a sync attempt that triggers the error, we might be able to tell you more, but this will likely be something they'll need to fix.
  • Thanks for the quick reply!
The Debug ID for this problem is: D1223779778

Your requests to Amazon S3 are being redirected to https://gateway.zscloud.net. (We've seen this issue with Zscaler at least once before.) You'll have to ask your IT department how to avoid these redirects, since they're the ones intercepting your secure traffic.
