Same problem here. I get a pubmed snapshot. I have managed to disable snapshots from other websites following instructions from another forum post, but it won't work on pubmed. Example page is here (retrieves pdf too) https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2843928/
When I'm trying to save an article from pub med (by clicking on the page icon generated by Zotero), I get the snapsot too. Take a look at the screenshot here https://imgur.com/a/hbYmbcl
OK, that's not the same problem, so I've moved this to a new thread.
It's not actually saving a snapshot — the icon in the save popup is wrong, but if you look in Zotero you can see that it's simply saving a link to the PubMed Central page.
Normally a link is attached to let you get back to the page you saved from when the URL isn't appropriate for the URL field (e.g., an Amazon product page). In this case the same URL is being saved to the URL field, so I'm not sure why we're saving the link twice. @adamsmith or someone else who's worked on the PMC translator would be able to say more about the desired behavior here.
