Error ID: 944178723

Failed to add citation. Error message says : Zotero experienced an error updating your document. This command is not available because no document is open [getDocument: document.cpp].
Even when I close and re-open both the word file and Zotero, the same problem persists. it seems that I have to restart my computer whenever this problem occurs.
I'm using Windows 10. The file is saved on OneDrive and autosync is on.
Please Help!

  • Do other (e.g. new) documents still work when you start getting this error? It is not out of the question that OneDrive sync is causing this.

    You're right in that Onedrive autosync was causing this problem, because everything works well when I pause syncing or when I change the file properties to 'save on this device' rather than saving it to the cloud.
