Sync issues

I just migrated to Zotero from Mendeley. I have imported my library to Zotero Desktop on my iMac but I cannot sync with Zotero Online or Zotero Desktop on my MacBook.
What might be wrong?

    I imported my Mendeley library to Zotero on my iMac, but it hasn't synced to Zotero Web, despite that I have signed it using my username and password.
    Not sure if that counts as 'saying a bit more', though.
