    Ready to begin again...it would be nice not to have to keep Zotero Standalone always open...although now I know that when there is a saving problem, more than likely I can just open up the program

    OK. Start with my troubleshooting question above:
    troubleshooting -- so when you try to authorize the connector from the options in Safari, you said it doesn't take: what exactly happens?

    OK...now I am a little embarrassed. With the passage of time I cannot recreate the above. If it is easy, please help me to find the trail again that will allow me to answer your question above.

    as long as it's working, I wouldn't worry about it. Once the connector is authorized, you should also be able to save from supported sites.

    Okey Dokey...

    You will recall I have to open the standalone in order to save a citation, which I did not have to do before. It is a minor inconvenience only worth fixing if its easy to do so.
