Remarkable 2 Integration

  • Thank you, @markgillioz! I will try this. Even though I think the hypothetical power with remarkable integration is to synchronize the note-taking over different devices. That is why I think we should keep pushing Remarkable to make a proper integration. You can all contact them about this here: https://support.remarkable.com/s/contactsupport/wishes-and-ideas and demand this.
  • Just added my voice on reMarkable's wish list with a request to make Zotero integration possible. There is such potential for this – loved all their tablets and the rM Pro is an even more attractive reading device for pdfs. To sync pdfs & epubs easily to and from the device with proper highlighting and annotations showing up in Zotero would be such a treat. Zotero citizen since the FF Plugin days and very happy with what it does.

It is possible to connect your remarkable 2 to Zotero. I've done it with the koreader app (https://koreader.rocks/) and then using the zotero koreader plugin (https://github.com/stelzch/zotero.koplugin).
IIRC I had to first downgrade my remarkable version so I could get totlec (https://toltec-dev.org/) and then I could get koreader and then the plugin.
It's a bit involved, but definitely possible, and koreader works nicely with 2 column pdfs on remarkable where the text is too small at full size.
I was doing a file clear out at the time, but you would probably need to make sure you have a backup of your remarkable files before you start, but I think most of the tutorials that I followed explained those steps.
Now I can't use the straight lines and shapes in the more recent versions of the remarkable software because I had to downgrade, but I think the tradeoff is worth it.
