Seamonkey/Iceape compatibility
For those people like me that still use Seamonkey (Debian: Iceape) is there any chance that you will support this browser. The current versions are really just existing Firefox and Thunderbird combined so many other addons work. I use several. When I try to install Zotero I get a message after activating the install button that "install script not found". Is this readily fixed?
Please, please tell me it will work with seamonkey now :-). I shall be eternally grateful.
Unfortunately, addons.mozilla.org makes it possible to make it look like any extension will work in any of their tools:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/sunbird/addon/3504
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/3504
etc.
Using the 'search' or browse functions on their site will usually not lead to these cases. If you found it through their site, you should report it to them (but if you found it through google or some other third-party site, I don't know how much they will do in the immediate future to fix this kind of thing).
Any idea when the zotero plugin may work with it?
Thanks
Is it sensible to hope that sm will support Zotero or is it still a little bit too early? As Shankargopal said: I shall be eternally grateful.
As far as I understand what I read here and there, Firefox and Seamonkey are still sharing some characteristics: same core, same engine Gecko and some common files. Up to which point, I do not know. As I am not an expert, this information is approximate. I would apologize for misleading. I tried with the most recent version of Zotero. It failed. I hope one day, Zotero would be compatible with Seamonkey. Many thanks, anyway!
