Zotero PDF reader and extracted annotations format

I love the new in-built PDF reader! To fit with the rest of my writing workflow, I want the extracted annotations in a different format, with the highlighted text nested under the comment as a bullet. Is it possible to change? If so, how?

I'm also using the tag feature for the annotations, hoping that it'll be of use soon, as indicated in https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/88653/pdf-reader-tagging-annotations-and-notes/p1 and https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/88737/zotero-pdf-reader-and-new-note-editor-use-of-separate-tags-in-annotations

Current default format:
"[highlighted text]" [Zotero citation link, displayed as (Author, date, p. #)] [comment for the highlighted text]

Desired format:
[comment for the highlighted text]
- "[highlighted text]" [Zotero citation link, displayed as (Author, date, p. #)]

Optional:
[comment for the highlighted text] #tag1 #tag2
- "[highlighted text]" [Zotero citation link, displayed as (Author, date, p. #)]

I'd really appreciate it if someone can help/ clarify. I don't know any programming language to write a script in. Thanks!
  • I'd also love to be able to format the extracted annotations. Some sort of settings template that we could customize with placeholders for various fields would be perfect.
