Page Range and Page Citation

Is there a way of including both the page range (first page - last page) of an article/chapter, and a page reference? Is there a distinction between the variables?

For example:
Erasmus Darwin, ‘An account of an artificial spring of water’, Phil. Trans. R. Soc. Lond. 75, 1–7 (1785), at p. 2.
