in-text quotations within footnotes
Hello,
How can refer to other works in a footnote.
For instance in a footonote I want to direct the reader to a monograph:
For a thorough analysis of these events, see Lipman 1997.
The issue is that Zotero displays it with ():
For a thorough analysis of these events, see (Lipman 1997).
Any suggestion?
Thank you

Use one of the many note styles we have on the repository that are made for footnote citing: https://www.zotero.org/styles?format=note&dependent=0
type "Lipman" in the footnote, then insert the citation using "suppress author" to get
- For a thorough analysis of these events, see Lipman (1997).
If you really want this without parentheses entirely, you can just delete them in Word, but this will keep your citation from updating going forward.
@adamsmith could you please clarify what is the "suppress author"? is this a particular command I need to use.
Thank you
