Style Error: Annals of Emergency Medicine

Current Zotero style includes incorrectly DOI at the end of references to journal articles.
See the references at the end of this article (download the PDF, available open-access): https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0196064417306571
  • Elsevier recommends including DOIs on submission even if they're not included in the print article (they're used e.g. for the CrossRef links in the HTML version and generally help publishers to check references)
  • I see. Thank you!

It is my understanding that the editors of AEM want DOIs with submitted manuscripts to facilitate checking references during the review process. I haven't reviewed a manuscript submitted there in a couple of years but last time I did the references were available to me through Elsevier-proxied DOIs. I thought that it was nifty-keen!
