Upgrade StorageApparently-saved pages do not appear in library

I am using Zotero 5.0.33 on an institutional system that uses thin clients for desktop to access central systems. I installed Zotero on my desktop and used it successfully for a couple of days, but currently, using either Chrome or Mozilla, with Zotero open, web sites appear to save: I see "Saving to my library" lower right, and, for some, "snapshot." However, I am unable to find the saved item in my library (and since I have few references, this is easy to check). Sample pages that I tried to save but failed:

I suspect this is merely operator error, but any advice would be greatly appreciated.
