Case citation don't work on Zotero (says Myles plugin) since installed Juris-M

Hi there,

I've installed Juris-M. But now reverted back to Zotero for certain papers. Now case citation don't work anymore. Say, 'HINT: Install the Myles plugin, available at https://juris-m.github.io/downloads'. How do I fix this problem?

Best,

Jonathan
  • You can download and install the Myles plugin from the link you gave. But I don’t believe it works in regular Zotero. If you are doing any amount of legal citation, you should just use Juris-M.
  • Thanks for your response. That doesn't really answer the question: any way I could make these cases citation work using Zotero? I use Zotero still because there are a few issues with Juris-M (see e.g. https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/69174/juris-m#latest). In addition, you can't install the Myles plugin separately on the Juris-M site, only the full package which I have. Thanks, Jonathan
  • you'd have to specify "case citations don't work" -- Zotero is more limited in what it can do with cases (that's why juris-m exists, in part), but it can certainly cite cases in general.
  • What I mean is that, even for cases downloaded with the Chrome Zotero plugin, nothing else appears other than "HINT: Install the Myles plugin, available at https://juris-m.github.io/downloads".
  • Nothing appears where? In Zotero? When you try to generate a Bibliogrpahy in Word?

What style are you using? Are you trying to use a Juris-M specific style in Zotero?
  • Or in other words: Standard Zotero with standard CSL and no add-ons would never display that message. I think bwiernik's guess that you're trying to use a juris-m style in regular Zotero is most likely, but it may also be that you have some juris-m add-on installed.
