Safari Connector 5.0.19 not working

I upgraded to the most recent Safari Connector and the connector now does not work. I have followed all the troubleshooting steps on the website.

Indications: the Save to Zotero extension button only shows "Save to Zotero (Web Page with Snapshot)" no matter what website I am connected to. Additionally if I right click on any webpage and select "Zotero Preferences" the Zotero Status displays:
"Zotero is currently unavailable. If Zotero is open, see the troubleshooting page."

Steps to reproduce:
1. download latest Zotero Connector for Safari
2. double click to install connector
3. go to webpage
4. attempt to either add a reference to Zotero using the extension button.
5. connector is not connected to Zotero

Sorry about that — this should be fixed in 5.0.20, now available.

My library connection to UW-Madison in Safari is now broken as well. Worked before 5.0 upgrade. The only option is now "web page with snapshot" and therefor there are no actual downloads. Big issue. Is it happening in other university libraries as well?

In Zotero preference, Zotero is now "available".
I have no issue saving PDFs to Zotero.

However, Now when I am at a catalog website (library of congress, worldcat, proquest) in Safari and try to save metadata to my Zotero account, after pressing the save to zotero button, I get the "saving to [folder]..." indication, but it hangs and does not save. I see the same indication whether or not the mac desktop standalone Zotero is running.

The LoC page is working for me in Safari. The WorldCat page is hanging for me, though it works in Chrome. Issue created.
