Zotero 5.0.7 won't import .ris file

  • used export manager (done successfully many times previously)
  • yes, editing the file isn't a doable fix.
  • "used export manager" is not precise enough. I don't know at what site your looking at all. Many sites offer RIS export through some tool called "export" in one way or another. We'd really need a link to say more.

Zotero's RIS import hasn't changed in a long time. If this used to work, the change is on the library's (though I'm still not sure if this is actually the library or just a database accessed through the library) side and you should report to them.
  • It's EBSCO. Is that the info you are asking for?
  • Yes. Why are you not just using the Save to Zotero icon?
  • I tried that too. It only uploaded files with DOI
  • I'd suggest troubleshooting that. EBSCO should certainly import correctly, but we'd need at a minimum a URL and ideally the database(s) and search string(s) used.
  • edited the textfile - worked. short term solution.
  • okay. Seems zotero is fine; ebsco is another story. thanks for the help!
