Upgrade StorageZotero on MS Office 2016

i have word 2011 and it shows the zotero icon on topbut when i click it it freezes - used to give me the visual basic code
so i got word 2016 - but the icon doesnt even show up there
the guy at the apple store made sure the file path should work - but he didnt know how to fix the problem - can you tell me what to do?
