The status bar in Firefox has disappeared ? It is very annoying ? Zotero might be the culprit ! Do not panic. The solution is simple. When opening the Zotero window, you manually dragged the top of the windows upper in the Firefox windows to enlarge your view, and then you closed Zotero in this configuration. You did not immediately realised the problem and started to suspect many possibilies.

Open again Zotero, drag down the border at the top of the Zotero window: miracle, the status bar of Firefox suddenly reappears. No need to edit any settings in your about:config, nor to deactivate all your bunch of lovely extensions. Enjoy.
