I was in the process of editing items in my library. I have received this error twice this evening, and had to restart Zotero. thanks for any help you can provide.

    First, upgrade to 4.0.22. Then test your database integrity from the Advanced → Files and Folders pane of the Zotero preferences. Let us know if you continue to have trouble.

    Thanks! I now have 4.0.22. no integrity problems were found. I tried to extract annotations again, and zotero is still hanging/freezing, and I had to shut down again. I took notes/highlighted in PaperShip.

    Annotation extraction is a ZotFile feature, not a Zotero feature. If you're having trouble with that, you'd have to post to the ZotFile thread.

    If you're having trouble elsewhere in Zotero, though, try disabling ZotFile and see if you still get errors.
