The page at https://www.zotero.org says

For the past week or two, whenever I visit a page in the zotero website I get a dialog box that says

"The page at https://www.zotero.org says

undefined"

I can click OK and get through it but it's kind of irritating. Anyone else seeing this? Seems to be only in Chrome
  • Is this on specific types of pages (library pages, group pages, here on forum pages)?

Did you install any new extensions in Chrome recently?

This shouldn't generally happen, and I don't think anything on zotero.org has changed in the recent past that would cause it to start.
  • I have NO problem on Firebox but having JUST tried to use with Chrome, I'm having the same problem as above: "The page at https://www.zotero.org says undefined". I do have other apps on Chrome. Do I need to delete all of them before I can use Zotero on Chrome?
  • certainly not. Thousands, likely tens of thousands of people use the Zotero webpage (and Zotero) with Chrome and extensions. But it'd be helpful to disable them all, see if the problem goes away. If it does re-enable them one-by-one and see which one causes the problem. Let us know if you find one.
  • I am having the exact same issue. It's horrible. Even when I switch between tabs, it pops up. I basically can't use Zotero right now which is super inconvenient since I am creating a tutorial on it for school. Was there ever a resolution to this issue?
  • This never came up again. Same troubleshooting as above, though:
But it'd be helpful to disable them [i.e. all other Chrome extensions] all, see if the problem goes away. If it does, re-enable them one-by-one and see which one causes the problem. Let us know if you find one.
  • I was experiencing the what seems like the same problem: a little dialogue box that said: "www.zotero.org says: undefined".

I disabled the extension for LINER, and the problem seems to have stopped--at least it has for the moment.

(Too bad, because I would like to use both)

    Hope this is helpful.
  • Yes, I would like to use Liner and Zotero at the same time too.
