J. American Society of Brewing Chemists

I have been working on new style and need help. First how do I get it somewhere where others can look at it and help/add to it? I have used the visual CSL editor to work on the style. http://editor.citationstyles.org/visualEditor/

Thanks
  • click on code editor and then copy the style - i.e. all the text in the lower part of the window from
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    to
    </style>
    then paste it into a window at gist.github.com
    create a public gist (button on the bottom right) and post the URL here.
  • Sweet Thanks

    I need help creating an bibliography entry as outlined here in section
    7 a)
    http://www.asbcnet.org/journal/author.htm
  • what are the specific problems you've run into? i.e. what haven't you managed to do?
  • I haven't figured out how to include multiple sources into one bibliography entry.

    From the ASBC author guidelines.

    "For ASBC Methods of Analysis (list all methods used in the paper under one reference)"

    In text citation example:

    Beer color was determined spectrophotometrically (1) and yeast viability was measured using methylene blue staining (1). Final packaged beers were differentiated by sensory analysis using triangle testing (1).

  • I don't think that can be done, certainly not with a style - maybe by adjusting input date. So are those several book sections?
  • Bummer. I guess I can just edit manually later. Yeah, they are collection of standard methods, more less like a manual. Not currently published in hard copy, just available online. It is a weird thing to try and cite. Thanks for looking into this.
