Upgrade Storageflickering DOI entry box and add citation box.

I posted before but I think I was lacking detail so I'll try again.

However I don't think these errors are related to the problem.
I have a new laptop and since getting it the input box if you click the "add new item" button on standalone flickers really quickly making it really difficult to use. Exactly the same thing happens when I open the add new citation input in word. It's OK if I switch to classic view though.
I'm using the latest version of standalone and chrome.
the laptop is a dell latitude E6420
intel core i5 processor
Windows 7 enterprise
NVIDIA NVS 4200M 512MB graphics card
The problem happens if I run on the laptop screen or any external display.
