Add Volume and other fields to middle windows

I have a lot of commentary sets. The title of each book is the same but the volume number changes, perhaps by a number or by a subject. I use the volume field to record the identifier but can't seem to find a way to add the volume field to the middle window using the Firefox plugin.

that's correct, there currently is no way.
I've been advocating allowing more (all?) fields to be added to the middle panel - best I can recall there's no compelling reason against that, it would just need to be done, but I could be wrong here.
