RIS Intercept not Working

It was suggested in a previous post that those who wish to use Zotero with the Aquabrowser interface, which the DC library consortium uses (http://discovery.wrlc.org/) as does Harvard (http://discovery.lib.harvard.edu/) and UChicago (http://lens.lib.uchicago.edu/) , should use the option to download ris files until a site translator is written for those sites. However, using Firefox 4.0.1 and Zotero 2.1.8 on Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit, I find that Zotero does not intercept .ris files when that option is enabled in the preferences panel. Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this might be? Thanks so much!
  • They're not using a proper content type (application/x-research-info-systems) for RIS.

As adamsmith noted on the your other thread, though, at least some of those sites offer COinS. Don't know how the quality compares to their RIS.
  • looks like that's a problem in the way aquabrowser serves the .ris - this works in general - try it on other sites.
