edit new items, music items

Is it possible to have the possibility to edit the items, to have custom items?

How about a music item? Music scores require special fields to books.

I would really like to use zotero, but Endnote has custom fields that are very attractive..

No custom types. For music, you can choose: "audio recording", "podcast", "radio broadcast".

Click on the green plus icon in the center column. Select the type of item you want to create from the drop down menu. You can view more item types at the bottom of the menu. If the options do not fit your item exactly try to find the kind of item that would contain the same fields.

thank you for both your comments. As i wrote in my post, music scores require certain classifications, not recorded music.

the two contributions cited above are actually one and the same thing and also there is no reply to either of those contributions.

Why cant zotero have custom fields?

because custom fields make data exchange impossible and make it impossible to have universally valid citations styles.
You can contribute to the discussion on muscial scores by reading the thread I link to and being more explicit about what exactly it is that music scores need. So far we haven't gotten further than "composer" and maybe "librettist" and/or "lyricist". From the citation examples that asallen provided (first page of that thread) I haven't yet seen any additional requirements for scores.

There is no customizable item type, largely for data portability reasons.
