  • So send the smaller part.
  • What part do you want - the error is almost at the end of the file?
  • I said above.

    Sent.

When you said "copy the couple hundred lines leading up to it", it wasn't clear what you wanted, since there were instead 8 million lines. Maybe you needed something from the top of the file.
  • So this appears to be due to a rather insidious low-level bug in Firefox itself.

We'll see if we can craft a test case to submit to Mozilla, but as a workaround, go to about:config in the Firefox address bar, look for javascript.options.tracejit.chrome, and double-click it to set it to false. Then restart Firefox and try the sync again. Based on my tests, it should work at that point.

After the sync goes through, you should be able to reset that setting to true in about:config. (If you don't, Firefox will run a bit slower.)
  • That fixed that, the sync worked.

Now I'm deleting 9861 items from the group library - firefox turned grey and has been that way for quite a while, >20 minutes, using 100% CPU and 33% (of 4GB) memory. Is this normal? I remember it being slow in the past, but say 5-10 minutes, not this long.

    Again, still on Linux.
  • The delete finally finished, and I'm attempting the sync, to delete everything from the Zotero server, it's been spinning for over 3 hours now??? Any ideas.
  • I see no active syncs from you. Restart Firefox, start the sync again, and post here when you do.
  • OK - everything finally worked. I'll start loading the new library and cross my fingers, thanks for the help.
