Annotations for physical items?
I’m sure this has been discussed before, but the only seemingly-relevant threads I’ve found are very old (https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/2294/notes-as-attachements-versus-as-annotations, https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/867/notetaking-capabilities-and-request-for-recommendations/).
Is there any way to make annotations that are not attached to a digital file? I’m aware that the stock answer is going to be “just use Notes,” but annotations have automatic metadata that Notes lack: Page number, date, and color.

adamsmithI don't think there have been any conversations around this, no. I think it'd be helpful to talk more specifically about use cases rather than abstractly about metadata. What exactly do you want to use non-digital annotations for?

CalorionI mean…the same thing I use digital annotations for? To collect quotes to use in my writing, to record my thoughts on specific passages, etc.…
