Why not Archive and Loc. in Archive fields in Statute, Hearing, Bill, and Case?

Hello. I saw this https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/17724/expand-use-of-archive-or-loc-in-archive-fields-in-chicago-full-note-with-bib-style from 2011 and I have a similar question, seen in my subject line.
1. I have been monkeying with Zotero for only a week, and I realize that many of the goals and features of the program are not relevant to me. I don't really have much use for outputting stuff from my collection into different citation styles, and all that, for instance. I am not working with any electronic sources of information (except to go from my old, home-made system to Zotero by using RIS as a go-between, and that's working well).
2. None of my items are internet things. They are all hard copies of some kind.
3. I would think that if a book or journal or newspaper or magazine (the bulk of the things in my collection) can be in an archive, a hard-copy of a statute, hearing, bill, or case could also be in an archive.
4. I'd think the same for Library Catalog and Call Number (though I realize these fields seem like step-children for Zotero).
5. I really just want a field that would tell me where *I* found it or can find it.
6. Now that DOI is universal, should I just abuse the field for this kind of information? I'd guess that if I ever added something with a real DOI and needed to output good citations I could recognize the difference between the real and abused DOIs in CSL.

Thanks.

The standard approach for that would be Extra or a note. If you want to 'abuse' a field,.I would consider 'Rights' or 'Citation Key' -- DOI is just used in a lot of different ways, so I wouldn't mess with it
